006: Sail with TinTin, Interact In New Ways and Brave The Dwarven Gates
This week we've got stunning environments, a bridge out of Blueprints for multithreading and a plug and play interaction system.
Welcome back to the Outpost. It’s the 13th July 2024.
It’s quiet week on the news front, but we’re here brimming with tools and art for some weekend reading.
If you have a great story that you want to tell, a new plugin you want to share or art you want to show off, reach out to me here.
Toolbox
The Outpost’s Toolbox is for new or updated tools to help make your Unreal Engine experience a little bit easier.
UE5-Blueprint-Multithread
From Redditor MagickRage comes a simple plugin to implement better multithreading for your application purely through Blueprints. If your C++ skills are a bit rusty this might be the plugin for you to move some of your workload on to different threads or lift some burden on intensive scenes.
Mountea Interaction System
Mountea are back at it again with some new tools for Actor Interaction. Mountea’s tools are great for getting projects running quickly with pre-built tools that are reading for production. The plugin allows you to build out robust interaction for your actors and get a living world up and running with the rest of their narrative tools.
Pinboard
Check out the latest art we have been keeping a lookout for this week.
This week on the Pinboard we have Pendulo Studio’s new TinTin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh, shared courtesy of Environment Artist Gonzalo Blanco. On his Artstation you can find a breakdown of the M.S. Epomeo with a great selection of interior and exterior shots.
Rolling back to UE4 nevergarden’s Dwarven Gates is a great piece of environment design with breakdowns to both meshes and materials. If you want a good look on how to build environments effectively this is worth a look.
That’s it from the outpost this week, we’ll be back with more from the horizon next weekend.
